At 8.30 o'clock Sunday evening Abraham Angus, father of Mrs. William Anderson, of this city, died at the home of his son, John I. Angus, East Conemaugh, of a complication of diseases. He was born in Lancaster, and was aged 71 years, 2 months and 12 days. He was married in 1853 to Mary Ann Hildebrand, of Cambria county, now deceased. To this union were born the following children: Jennie, wife of George A. Shaffer, of Mineral Point; Martha, wife of Aaron Horner, of Ferndale; Amelia, wife of William Anderson, of Altoona; Jacob T. Angus, a Pennsylvania railroad track foreman at Summerhill; John I., mentioned above, and Lemon U., of Summerhill. He is survived by one brother, Daniel W. Angus, and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Horner, of Cambria county. The remains will be taken to Wesley Chapel, East Taylor township, Cambria county, this afternoon at 1 o'clock, where services will be conducted by Rev. D. J. Frum, pastor of the Conemaugh Methodist Episcopal church, of which the deceased was a faithful member. Interment will be made in the Chapel cemetery.
