Mrs. Anstead had been ailing for some time, and her death was not unexpected. The funeral will be held from the late home of the deceased Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. W. A. Shoman, Mrs. Anstead's pastor, officiating. Interment will be made in Grand-View Cemetery. Mrs. Anstead had a large number of friends, not only in this city but throughout northern Somerset County, and a large concourse of persons is expected to attend the obsequies. Mrs. Anstead was born December 5, 1827 near Stoyestown, her parents being Moses Berkebile and Susannah (the next two lines are blurred) August 15, 1850 to Adam Anstead and with him made her home at or near Benscreek until nineteen years ago, when they moved to the Eight Ward, this city. Ten children in all were born to Mr. and Mrs. Anstead, of whom those surviving are: Joseph H., of Johnstown; Isaiah, of Baker City, Ore., who arrived here two weeks ago and is now in the city; Rachel, wife of Frank Barry, of Benton, Ind.; J. A. Anstead, of Eight Ward; Cyrus, of Benscreek, and Maude, wife of Eugene Dwyer, of the Eight Ward. Twelve grandchildren also survive Mrs. Anstead, who three years ago, with her husband and descendants, celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of her wedding.
