Died at his residence in Johnstown, Cambria County, Pa., at 5 o’clock AM, on Sunday,
October 27th, 1861, John Barnes, in the 69th year of his age. The deceased was a
native of England. He came to this country with his family in the year 1833, and
located in Johnstown, where he has ever since resided… He leaves an aged wife, four
sons, and three daughters who deeply mourn his sudden removal from their midst.
