(Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: October 03, 1867 The sudden and terrible death of Michael Boland, a citizen of Millville, which occurred at Blairsville Intersection on Wednesday evening last. Mr. Boland had gone to Pittsburgh on the preceding Monday, and was returning home on the Philadelphia Express the evening above stated, and when in the vicinity of the Intersection he left his seat to pass into the adjoining car, and it is supposed that in crossing between the cars he missed his footing, and falling beneath the wheels, was crushed in such a manner as to cause his death within an hour after the accident occurred. His body was brought to this place on Thursday and interred in the Catholic cemetery on the following day. Mr. B. was about 38 years of age, a kind, genial, good-hearted man and was universally esteemed. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his untimely fate.
