The Patton courier: (Patton, Cambria Co., Pa.): 23 May 1929
Scott Byrne, aged 70 years, died 7:20 o’clock on Monday morning of complication of
diseases at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mallie Stich, Carrolltown. He had been in
poor health for the past two years. Mr. Byrne is survived by two children, Mrs.
Stich, and Michael, of Spangler. He also leaves these brothers and sisters: John,
Altoona; Theodore, Ebensburg; Mrs. Jennie Fitzgerald of Ebensburg; and Mrs. Joseph
Stich, of Altoona. Funeral services were held at nine o’clock on Wednesday morning
in St. Benedict’s church at Carrolltown, and interment was in the church cemetery.
