TERESA BASAL Died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. M. Myers, in Ashville borough, Cambria county, Pa., at 11 o'clock a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 1907, aged 85 years. Her husband preceded her to the grave on the 4th of June, 1906. The following children survive her: Andrew Basal of Tunnelhill, Blair county, John of Pittsburg, Joseph of Pautucket, R.I., Frank at the old homestead in Allegheny township, Cambria county, Mrs. Catharine Lentz of Gallitzin borough, and Mary, wife of D. G. Myers, with whom she was stopping at the time of her death. She was a life-long member of the Catholic church. Friday, 12 Apr 1907 Volume 41, Number 15 Ashville Lady Dead Theresa Basal, aged eighty-five years, died suddenly at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. D. G. Myers in Ashville. Mrs. Basal, although a sufferer from asthma for some time, had been in fairly good health and was visiting at the home of her daughter Wednesday. She went into the house after walking around outside for a little while and had been sitting down in a chair for only a few minutes when she gave a gasp and fell to the floor, dying very soon afterward. Mrs. Basal was the widow of the late Andrew Basal who died last June. She is survived by the following children: Andrew of Tunnelhill Borough; John of Pittsburg; Joseph of Rhode Island; Frank, at home; and Catherine Lentz, widow of Arnold Lentz of Gallitzin. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Thomas' Catholic church, where the deceased attended services Tuesday evening. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
