Widow of John Bender Dies 

Patton, Nov. 21 -- Mrs. Mary Bender, widow of John Bender, died at her 
home here at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon, aged 68 years.  Death was due 
to pneumonia, with which she had been ill ten days, becoming sick just 
after moving to town from a farm in Clearfield Township.  The deceased was 
a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Slick of Loretto where she was well known.

Mr. Bender died nine years ago.  Surviving are six sons and two daughters:  
Charles of Patton; Dore of Gallitzin; Philip and Will, at home; Gallitzin 
of Pittsburg; Vincent of Patton; Lucinda, wife of Stephen Cooper, Patton; 
and Myrtle, wife of George Stoltz, Clearfield Township.  Funeral services 
will be said at 10 o'clock tomorrow at the Catholic Church at St. 
Augustine, interment being made in the church cemetery.
