Mrs. Rachel Bender, wife of Joseph Bender, of Carrolltown, died last 
evening after a short attack of pneumonia.  The deceased was born in 
Clearfield township, Cambria county, and was a daughter of Sylvester 
and Matilda Sherdon.  She is survived by her husband and two children.  
Funeral services took place at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic church at 
9 o'clock Friday morning.
