Bennett Dead Evan J. Bennett, a well known farmer and dairyman whose farm lies just outside of the borough limits at the east end of Ebensburg in Cambria Township, died at 9:30 o'clock Sunday morning in the sixtieth year of his age after a lingering illness of several years from tuberculosis. Mr. Bennett was born in Cambria Township on the 15th of August, 1849 and had he lived until Sunday next he would have been sixty years old. About thirty years ago he married Miss Ruth Jones of Ebensburg who survives him with the following children: Harry J., a practicing physician of Ebensburg; Clinton and Harriet, at home. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late residence after services by the Rev. H. H. Guernsey, pastor of the Congregational church of Ebensburg, of which denomination Mr. Bennett was a Deacon. Interment was made in Lloyd cemetery.
