Friday, 24 May 1907 Volume 41, Number 21 Decapitated Body Found on the Tracks The remains of Howard Beynon, a well known resident of Gallitzin and a former resident of Ebensburg, was found Monday morning along the tracks just west of Gallitzin with the head severed from the body. Just how or when the accident occurred is not known. Howard Benyon (sic) was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lizzie Beynon, well known residents of Ebensburg. He was assistant to ex-Sheriff Blair for many years and later worked for the railroad. He was married about twenty years ago to Miss Clara Beebe of Allegheny township and to this union there are three children. Benyon is survived by one brother and three sisters, besides his parents and family. The brothers and sisters are: Wesley of Pittsburg; Malinda, wife of R. H. Roberts; Misses Annie and Clara, well known school teachers, all of Ebensburg. The funeral took place at Gallitzin.
