Friday, 19 Mar 1909 Volume 43, Number 12 Fatally Hurt J. C. Brickley of Cherrytree was fatally injured at Lilly last week while attempting to alight from Main Line Express. Mr. Brickley was a freight brakeman on the C. & C. Division and boarded the passenger train at Cresson to take a ride down the main line. He was riding between blind luggage and fell against a fence when he left the train, being thrown back against the baggage car. The young railroader's skull was fractured and he was taken to the Altoona hospital where he died. Brickley was twenty-two years of age and was unmarried. He made his home with his parents.
