Friday, 12 Feb 1909 Volume 43, Number 7 Bride-to-Be Stricken Miss Emma Brown, Who Died Monday Evening, Was to Have Been Married Lilly, Feb. 11 -- Miss Emma Brown, a teacher in the public schools of Washington Township and who was to have become the bride of Patrick Hoover of Washington Township in St. Bridget's Catholic church in Lilly Tuesday morning, died at her home Monday evening of an attack of pneumonia. Before Miss Brown was taken ill 10 days ago, all arrangements for the wedding had been completed, a postponement being announced a short time ago when it was found that her condition was extremely critical. Miss Brown, who was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Brown, was 26 years of age and is survived by her parents and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. William Gunsman and Mrs. George P. Risban of Lilly; Mrs. Irvin Bradley of Cresson and Agnes, Lilly, John and Helen, who are at home. The funeral took place from St. Bridget's church at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning, with interment in the Lilly cemetery.
