Dead in a Cell 

Derry, May 18 -- After lying in a cell of the Derry jail for over a day, the body of William 
Brown, chief of police of this city, was found this morning by Burgess E. B. Leitzell. The 
man was last seen on the streets about the middle of Tuesday afternoon.  The coroner 
held an inquest this evening over the remains and concluded that the man died of 
apoplexy.
