Friday, 15 Jun 1906 Volume 40, Number 23 Death of John M. Burgoon John M. Burgoon, aged 47, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. F. J. Wills in Ebensburg Friday evening from the effects of a stroke of paralysis received on Monday evening. The deceased had been ill with malaria fever some time ago at a hospital in St. Louis and when he returned to Ebensburg was not very well. He has never been married. He was originally from near Ashville. His mother, Mary Jane Burgoon, is living and his father, Lewis M. Burgoon, is dead. The deceased is also survived by four sisters as follows: Mrs. L. F. McDermott of Beaverdale; Mrs. Luke Delaney of Cresson; Mrs. Ed Melhorn of Amsbry; Mrs. F. J. Wills of Ebensburg. The funeral took place Monday morning at Ebensburg, interment being made in the New Catholic cemetery after a high mass by the Rev. Father O'Neil.
