The Cambria freeman. (Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: August 16, 1872
William Christy, aged 15 years, a son of Josiah M. Christy, of Gallitzin, came to
his death at Cresson last Thursday evening by the cars running over him. He had gone
to Cresson from Gallitzin that evening, and was endeavoring to get aboard a freight
train to return home, when he missed his footing and fell on the track. The car
wheels ran over his legs and a part of his body, and so severely injured him that he
died shortly afterward.
