The Oakland Express

CALLAHAN, DORTHEA M.; 85 of Croswell, formally of E. Waterford, Pa.; died Sunday, July 
29, 2007 in Port Huron Hospital of congestive heart failure. She was born June 23, 1922 in 
Blandburg, Cambria County, Pa., to the late William John and Rebecca M. (Clark) Fortney. She 
married Raymond Garrard Callahan in 1941 in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Callahan died in 1965. 
Dorthea retired from Pontiac Motors after twenty years. Surviving are her son Robert (his wife 
Judith) of Croswell; two daughters, Jean (her husband Robert) Lovell of Waterford, MI.; Ardeen 
Hunt of Deltona, Fl.; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren; 
she was the last of seven children.  She is preceded in death by a son Raymond Gerrard Callahan, 
Jr. who died in 1998, and grandsons Jimmy Hunt and Richard Lovell. Funeral Services will be at 
11 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2007 at Pomeroy Funeral Home, Croswell, MI. Burial will be in White 
Chapel Cemetery, Troy, and MI. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

With deep sadness and sincere condolences to the family - Aunt Dort is the last 
child of William and Rebecca Fortney - I shall miss her immensely.
