Thomas Callahan, of Chest Springs, Cambria county, and practically a lifelong resident of that place, where he was engaged in farming pursuits, died at his home yesterday morning at 4 o'clock, at the age of 84 years. He was born in Ireland in 1834 and came to this country when a young man, settling in the vicinity of Chest Springs. Death was due to a stroke which he sustained about two months ago, following one about a year ago. His wife, deceased, was formerly Mary Storm. He is survived by the following children: James, of Michigan; Mrs. Margaret Watt, of Pittsburg; Mrs. Louis McMullen, of Altoona; John, George and Mrs. Edgar Conrad, of Braddock; Mrs. Annie Buck, of Carrolltown; Thomas, of Cleveland; Edward, of Seattle, and May at home.
