MARTIN L. CARL.

At 5.30 o'clock last evening Martin L. Carl, well known in this city, died at his home in St. 
Augustine, Cambria county, of a complication of diseases.  Deceased was born in Clearfield 
township, Cambria county, and was aged 56 years.  Mr. Carl last August had a leg amputated at 
the hospital, but had recovered from the operation.  He was a member of the Catholic church and 
is survived by six children, two of whom, William and Benjamin, reside in this city.  Funeral 
arrangements will be announced later.

LOCAL BREVITIES.

The funeral of Martin Carl, of Clearfield township, Cambria county, will be held Sunday 
morning at 10 o'clock.  Interment in St. Augustine's cemetery.
