Carrigo, aged 53, a veteran of World war I and former local resident, yesterday morning in St. Francis Xavier's Catholic church. Rev. Father Walter M. Kurdziel, assistant pastor, conducted the services and the additional rites at the Cresson post 238, American Legion plot in St. Aloysius cemetery, Summit, where the body was interred. Mr. Carrigo died Friday afternoon in the veterans' hospital in Cleveland, O., where he was admitted one week ago. He was born in Washington, D.C., Nov. 20, 1894, a son of B. F. and Regina (Guinivan) Carrigo. He was reared in Cresson. With the outbreak of World war I in 1917, he enlisted in Pittsburgh and served with the first outfit to reach France. Mr. Carrigo married Thirza Palmer, who preceded him in death many years ago. Members of his family include a brother, Harry W. Carrigo, sr., of Cleveland, O. He was a member of the American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
