CHIRDON - Albin Joseph, 75, Ashville, died suddenly at 7:45 p.m. Aug. 3, 1961, at home.  
Born June 22, 1886, in Coupon, son of Jacob and Barbara (Moser) Chirdon.  Preceded in death 
by wife, Susan, in 1945.  Survived by following children: Mrs. Vesta Krise, Glenn and Harold, 
all of Ashville; Mrs. Marie Roberts, Patton; Clayton, Juniata; Mrs. Dolores Ahles, Cresson, and
Lola-jean and Cathy, both at home; also 19 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  Brother of 
Mrs. Cecilia Michaels, Sidman R. D.; Martin, Philadelphia, and Clarence, Ebensburg.  Member 
of St. Thomas' Catholic Church, Ashville, where requiem mass will be sung at 9 a.m. Monday, 
Very Rev. John B. Hackett.  Interment, church cemetery.  Friends received after 6 p.m. Friday in
late residence.  Arrangements in charge of Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville.
