CHRISTY Of Gallitzin RD 1, died at 5:05 p.m. Saturday in the Altoona Hospital where he was admitted Thursday. He was born in Gallitzin Aug. 10, 1904, a son of Hackett and Margaret (Miller) Christy, and on May 24, 1924, married Ruth Butterbaugh. Surviving are his wife, six children, James Jr. and Lawrence of Gallitzin, Mrs. Regina Steberger of Lilly, Mrs. Florence Cangioli of Colver, Marvin of Penns Grove, N.J., and Kenneth, in the Navy at Charleston, S.C.; his mother, Mrs. Margaret Krop of Ashville; a sister and two brothers, Mrs. Grace Bradley of Duncansville, Cyril of Gallitzin and Norbert of Alexandria, Va. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, St. Michael's Society, Polish Falcons and V.F.W., Gallitzin, and employed as a machinist by the Flood City Brass & Electric Company, Johnstown. Friends are being received at the Skupien Funeral Home, Gallitzin.
