CLAYCOMB — Mrs. Fannie, 74, Salix, formerly of Summerhill, died at 4:15 a.m. July 28, 
1961, in Lee Hospital, Johnstown. Born Oct. 8, 1886, in Bedford County, daughter of George 
and Charlotte (Border) Griffith. Preceded in death by husband, Sewell, former merchant in 
Summerhill Borough. Survived by these children: Charlotte, wife of William Harris, Bellwood; 
Sewell Jr., Lenora, wife of Edgar Burtnett, and Mrs. Lila Wood, all of Johnstown; J. Harper, 
Philadelphia; Frank E., East McKeesport; Joseph, Summerhill, and Phyllis, wife of Ronald 
Dillon, Salix, with whom she resided; also 23 grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Nellie Blattenberger, 
Windber; John and Jack Griffith, both of Johnstown, and Frank Griffith, Indiana. Member of 
Salix EUB Church and former longtime member of Summerhill EUB Church and Ladies Aid 
Society of the church.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in George Funeral Home, South Fork, where services will be held 
at 2 p.m. Monday, Rev. John Sass and Rev. G. C. Mitchell. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
