NANCY COLBERT DIES IN COOPERSDALE Mrs. Nancy Hess Colbert, wife of William Colbert, died unexpectedly Saturday night [6 April 1912-ed.] at her home in Coopersdale, aged 68 years. Mrs. Colbert had been suffering from rheumatism for some time, and was sitting in a chair in her room when the end came. Her death was due to heart failure. The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the Cooper avenue M.E. Church, of which the deceased was a communicant for many years. Services will be conducted by the Rev. James E. Inskeep, with burial in Grandview Cemetery. Nancy Hess was born below Perkinsville and was a daughter of the late Jacob and Sarah Hess. She was a sister of Mrs. Noah Rose, of I street, and Jacob and Campbell Hess, of Morrellville; Mrs. Elizabeth Skiles, of D street, and Mrs. Alice Knipple, of Moxham. The late Mrs. Alexander Wilson was also a sister. Miss Hess and William Colbert were married in this city on January 12, 1860, by the Rev. S.E. Babcock, then the pastor of the Franklin-street M.E. Church. Besides her husband and brothers and sisters Mrs. Colbert is survived by these sons and daughters: J. W. Colbert, of Fairfield avenue; S. H., of Park Avenue; Annie, wife of George P. Warsing, of Cooper avenue; Jacob M., of Wood alley; G. S., of Market street; Frank, of Pittsburg, and Bertha, wife of James Rice, of Pittsburg. Another daughter, Sarah D., wife of S.V. Kunkle, died less than a year ago at her home in Coopersdale. Twenty grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
