Friday, April 17, 1903 Harry Condron, a Cresson and Clearfield division freight conductor, residing at Summit, was probably fatally injured at Lilly at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon. He left his home during the afternoon and went to Lilly to get some medicine for his children who are confined to the house by sickness. While on his way home an east bound freight train came along and he attempted to board it. It was going faster than he had judged and he was thrown under the wheels. Both legs and the right arm were ground off and he also sustained a number of body contusions. He was speedily removed to Dr. Kress's office at Lilly and later was removed to the Memorial hospital at Johnstown where he died the same evening.
