Democrat and sentinel: (Ebensburg, Pa.) 1853-1866: June 08, 1854
Near Summitville, on Tuesday June 6th, of consumption, James Dillon, aged about 24
years. The deceased bore high character in our community for honesty and industry.
He was employed as an engineer upon the Portage Railroad, and in that capacity his
attention to his business was unremitting. To continued and severe exposure during
the past winter, is doubtless to be attributed the disease which resulted in his
death.
