Thomas J. Davis Dead 

Attorney William Davis of Ebensburg has received word from 
Colorado to the effect that his brother, Thomas J. Davis, 
died last Friday in a hospital at Silverton after an 
illness of some time.  Owing to heavy snows in the west the 
local attorney has received only meager telegraphic 
information.

The deceased was a native of Barr Township and had been a 
resident of Colorado for the last 24 years.  His home was 
at Howardsville. He was 49 years of age and single, and had 
been a gold and silver miner and mine owner for a long 
time.  The deceased is survived by the following brothers:  
Attorney William Davis of Ebensburg; Evan Davis of 
Reynoldsville; David Davis of Ohio and Mrs. Sarah Williams 
of the Seventeenth Ward, Johnstown.

The remains were shipped from Silverton Thursday morning. 
They are expected to arrive in Ebensburg Sunday or Monday, 
when funeral services will be held and the interment made 
in Lloyd's cemetery.
