Friday, 11 Oct 1907 Volume 41, Number 41 Mrs. Catharine Doyle Mrs. Catharine Doyle, wife of Edward Doyle of Ashville, died at her home in that place Sunday morning, Sept. 28, at 8 o'clock, the cause of her death being stomach trouble. Deceased was born near Loretto and was aged about sixty years. From childhood she was a devoted member of the Catholic church. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. W. H. Burgoon of Altoona; Joseph H., Lillian, Mattie, Samuel, Chester and Mrs. Frank Harrington, all of Ashville. The funeral took place at Ashville the following Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock after a requiem high mass conducted by Rev. J. L. O'Donnell in St. Thomas' church. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery connected with the church. In Memoriam Today there's a vacant place at home, And there are hearts sad and lone, For friends have been called to part With a loved one dear to the heart; Husband and children weep today For a dear one laid way, Whose cheerful voice they'll hear no more Until they meet on the heavenly shore; Sisters and brothers grieve For a precious mother had to leave The home circle she loved to cheer, With loving words so kind and dear. Friends weep as they miss her dear form As they gather in church Sabbath morn, In the place where she loved to tell Of her hopes of heaven, where she has gone to dwell. Though she is at rest we feel our loss But may we live that when called to cross The river of death we meet With her at our dear Saviour's feet.
