William Dukes 

The hotels of Nantyglo closed up by request out of respect to the late William Dukes, an 
old soldier, during the time his funeral services were being held there Monday. This is an 
example which might be emulated at other places. Mr. Dukes was one of the oldest 
citizens of the Blacklick and was universally beloved and respected.
