Mr. Dunegan has been in ill health for the past year but as recently as last Saturday was able to be about. In the morning he was able to go out for a drive and in the afternoon he conducted several lawsuits that came up before his court for adjustment. The news of his sudden demise at 1:25 o'clock yesterday afternoon has proved a great shock to his many friends. Death resulted from stomach trouble, which became complicated during its last stages. After the war, Mr. Dunegan served the county as commissioner in Cambria county, during the years 1865-66-67, and was commissioner's clerk at the time of the building of the present court house in 1881. At the time of his death he was one of the oldest justices of the peace in Cambria county, having served in that capacity for many years. The deceased was twice married. Bender, proprietor of the Bender Hotel, Ebensburg; Mary, wife of Ignatius Adams of Clearfield township; and Kathryn, wife of Michael Collins of Dean, Pa. When Mr. Dunegan again married, he chose as his companion in life, Mary Ann Gurley, who with the following children born to the second union, survives the husband: E. F.
