Friday, 18 Nov 1910 Volume 44, Number 45 Body of Lad Buried Eight Months Now to be Examined! Authorities Will Try and Find Out What Caused Death of Jamestown Lad Is It Case of Murder? Next Monday the body of an eight-year-old son of William H. Edward of Jamestown, this county, who was buried last March, will be exhumed. District Attorney Leech and other officials of the county are anxious to know whether the lad died of black diphtheria, as a physician is claimed to have certified, or from the effects of a wound in the head, inflicted by a pop bottle that is alleged to have been thrown at the little victim by a resident of Jamestown. Threats of the Jamestown person referred to have arrested anyone circulating the story to the effect that he struck the lad with the pop bottle are said to have prompted the action on the part of Jamestown people to demand a through investigation. They reported the matter to District Attorney Leech and the latter has ordered Deputy Coroner Harry R. Mainhart to make a complete probe into the manner in which the youth met his death.
