Friday, 13 Jan 1905 Volume 39, Number 1 Mrs. Margaret Elder - Married by Gallitzin Mrs. Margaret Elder, widely known throughout the north of the county as "Peggy Daily" died Tuesday night in the home of her son, James W. Daly, of Allegheny township, aged ninety-five years. Her maiden name was Margaret Gibbons and she being a daughter of the late Daniel Gibbons, one of the earliest settlers in this region. Mrs. Elder was thrice married. Her first husband was a man named Daily to whom she was united in marriage by Prince Gallitzin, the patriot-priest who was such a notable figure in Cambria's early history. Her second husband was Michael Brooks and third, James Elder, who died only a few years ago. Besides her son, James Daily, the deceased is survived by three grandsons, children of the late Isadore, Lilly, who was Steward at the County Home previous to the incumbency of Thomas J. Hughes. They are Samuel, Lilly, of the Summit, Louis of Cresson Township and Charles of No. 312 Gantier street, Johnstown. The funeral took place at 9 o'clock Thursday morning from St. Patrick's church at Loretto.
