Friday, 20 Oct 1905 Volume 39, Number 40 Mrs. Catherine A. Fenlon Mrs. Catherine A. Fenlon, widow of the late John Fenlon Esq., died of pleurisy at 8 o'clock Saturday morning at her home in Ebensburg in the seventy- eighth year of her age. Mrs. Fenlon was called to East End, Pittsburg, three weeks ago by the illness of her daughter, Mrs. George L. Bearer, where she herself fell ill a week ago and was brought down. Mrs. Fenlon was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Myers of Pittsburg, where she was born January 29, 1828. She was married in the Smoky City June 18, 1857, to the late John Fenlon of Ebensburg, with whom she came to the Cambria County seat to live. The deceased is survived by the following children: John M. of New Orleans; Mrs. Catherine Blair, widow of Celestine J. Blair; Paul R. of Philadelphia; Philip G. of Donora; Mrs. Rose Bearer of East End, Pittsburg; Miss Grace, at home. The following sisters are living: Miss Margaret Myers, who made her home with the Fenlons; Mrs. H. A. Shoemaker, also of Ebensburg; and Sister M. Gonzaga, a member of the Sisters of Mercy community in Pittsburg. The deceased was one of our oldest and most highly esteemed residents and was an excellent woman who will be sadly missed in this community. The funeral took place Wednesday morning, interment being made after a high mass of requiem in the Old Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. Fenlon's Funeral Twelve Well-Known Citizens of Ebensburg Acted as Pallbearers Secretarian (sic) lines were wiped out Wednesday in the final tribute to the late Mrs. Catherine A. Fenlon, widow of John Fenlon, Esq. The Rev. P. Fox celebrated a solemn requiem mass in the Church of the Holy Name at 10 o'clock, after which interment was made in the Old Catholic Cemetery adjoining the church. The pallbearers were M. D. Bearer, Cyrus W. Jones, S. L. Reed Esq., M. J. Stoltz, Edmund James, T. B. O'Hara, Robert A. Scanlan, E. C. Parrish, S. S. Kinkead, Harry Lloyd, M. D. Kittell Esq., and F. B. Jones. John M. Fenlon, one of the deceased's sons, arrived here from New Orleans Tuesday.
