All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/cambria/ Cambria Freeman Ebensburg, PA Friday, 8 Oct 1909 Volume 43, Number 41 Mrs. Frailey Dead Ebensburg was greatly shocked Monday night to learn that at 6 o'clock that evening, Mrs. William Frailey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Thompson, had passed away suddenly at the home of her parents. Mrs. Frailey caught a severe cold several weeks ago but was seemingly recovered. It was while talking to her husband Monday evening that she rose halfway from her chair and then suddenly fell back. She died almost instantly. Mrs. Frailey was formerly Miss Mary Thompson and was well known and exceedingly popular throughout Ebensburg. She is survived by her parents, her husband, William Frailey and an infant son, James. Two brothers, John E. and Editor Walter R. Thompson of the MOUNTAINEER HERALD also survive. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the James M. Thompson residence on Center Street and was very largely attended. The services were in charge of the Rev. S. G. Craig of the Presbyterian Church. Music was omitted. The pallbearers were Robert Bolsinger, Leo F. McKenrick, B. Frank James, Dr. D. H. Shoemaker, Charles S. Evans and Leonard Jones. The remains were laid to rest in Lloyd cemetery. The floral offerings were numerous and very beautiful. Among the relatives and friends who attended the funeral were Mrs. Thomas Siviter of Pittsburg, Ed H. Thompson of Vandergrift and daughters, Mrs. Grace Jenkins of Pittsburg, Mrs. Elizabeth Davis of Vandergrift; Mrs. H. A. Thompson and Miss Mattie Thompson of Indiana; Mrs. E. G. Kerr and daughters, Mrs. Lloyd, Mrs. Wakefield and Miss Fannie Kerr of Johnstown; Mr. and Mrs. Frailey and son of Indiana; Miss Catherine C. Rogers and Miss Pattie Lincoln of Churchtown, Lancaster County.
