Friday, 20 Sep 1907 Volume 41, Number 38 Aged Veteran Dies Martin Funk of South Fork Expires at Age of Eighty-three Years Martin Funk, [words missing], of Huntingdon County and a veteran of the Civil War, died at his home at South Fork, Tuesday morning at the age of eighty-three years. Mr. Funk fought in Company D, Eleventh Pennsylvania Cavalry under Capt. Skelly. He had resided in South Fork and vicinity for the past forty years and was one of the best known residents of the community. His death followed a long illness of rheumatism. He leaves a wife and one brother, Henry, of Blacklick township. The interment was made in the South Fork cemetery yesterday morning after services at 10 o'clock at the late home of the deceased.
