(Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: August 24, 1871 A lad named Frank Gillin, about 10 years of age, son of Neal Gillin, of Gallitzin, was so badly injured by a train of freight cars, at the east end of the Penna. R. R. Tunnel, on Monday evening last, that he died in a short time after. How the accident occurred seems to be a mystery, as the presence of the poor little fellow was unknown to any one until his mangled and almost lifeless body was found on the track. One of his legs was terribly crushed and he was otherwise badly injured. We sympathize deeply with the stricken parents of the unfortunate lad in their shocking and sudden bereavement.
