Friday, 6 Jan 1905 Volume XXXVIII, Number 52 Lilly Man Victim of Train While walking along the branch line that runs up to the mines from Lilly last evening, Albert George, one of the oldest and best known citizens of that place, was run down by a train of coal cars and badly mangled. Mr. George had been living at the home of one of his daughter, Mrs. Sherman Allen and was on his way there from a visit to the center of the town when the fatality occurred. The unfortunate man was seventy-six years of age is and also survived by the following sons and daughters: Alexander George of Lilly; Mrs. Beck of Ehrenfield; Mrs. Martin Leab and Mrs. Sherman Allen, of Lilly. The funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon by the Rev. Dunlap of the Lutheran Church of which Mr. George was a member. Interment being made in the Lutheran Cemetery at that place.
