Father James Graven, pastor of St. Xavier's Catholic church at Cresson, fell down the stairs at the parsonage and received injuries that resulted in death a short time later. After the death of her husband, Mrs. Graven came to Cresson and has since made her home there with Father Graven. The funeral services were held at St. Aloysius Catholic church at the Summit Monday morning at 8 o'clock. The officers of the mass were: The Rev. Father Graven, celebrant; Father Timothy Giblin, deacon; Father M. J. Canole, subdeacon; Father Philip Bohan preached the sermon; and Father Peter Fox, master of ceremonies. Rt. Rev. Eugene A. Garvey, Bishop of the Altoona diocese and many priests from the dioceses of Altoona, Pittsburg and Philadelphia were in attendance.
