Death of a Child 
 
 
Esther Gray, daughter of Stewart and Mrs. John Gray of the almshouse, died Wednesday 
morning at the age of one year, one month and 15 days. The little child became ill of pneumonia 
a week ago Sunday.  The disease developed into meningitis. The funeral took place this 
afternoon from the Gray home, interment being made in the cemetery at Mundy's. The Rev. F. L. 
Sigmund had charge of the service. 
 
Mr. and Mrs. Gray have eight children living.
