Friday, 1 Dec 1905 Volume 39, Number 47 Alexander Greif Killed Alexander Grief, Jr., son of Alexander Grief, a well known resident of Carrolltown, met almost instant death while attending to his work at Canton, O. The young man was connecting wires on a telephone pole when his hold gave way and he fell about 65 feet to the ground, striking the back of his head. The injuries caused his death within a few hours of the accident. Mr. Grief is survived by his wife and two children of Canton and his father and one sister, Kate, of Carrolltown and four brothers. The funeral took place at Canton Wednesday afternoon and was attended by his father.
