Robert Hamilton, one of the first settlers of Johnstown, died on Tuesday morning 
last at the advanced age of eighty-two. The deceased enjoyed good health until 
Sunday night when he got up to see the conflagration, thus inducing a severe 
cold from the effects of which he died.
