September 26, 2006 RICHARD J. HILL - " MR. NEWSPAPER" Richard J. Hill, Age 54, of Harrisburg, died Saturday, September 23, 2006 at M. S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. He was an employee for over 25 years for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, State Library. He was Section Head for Research and Reference Services and a former head of the Newspaper Room. He was a leader of the Pennsylvania Newspaper Project for the State Library. Richard was a member of the Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick, Dignity of Central PA, and Tuesday Night Volleyball. He was active with family genealogy and the History of Colver, PA. Richard also loved his cat "Gizmo" very much. He is survived by a brother, Telford "Jack" Hill of Laudenberg, PA; and a sister, Lucinda M. Miller of Bellefonte, PA; four nieces. Celena Hick of Wilmington, Delaware, Sandy Ebersole of Altoona, Gayle Walter of Altoona and Ellen Saylor of Knoxville, Tennessee and a nephew, James Saylor of Bellefonte. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kay McCachren. A viewing will be held at the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 on Wednesday, September 27, 2006, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Chapel of St. Lawrence, 110 State Street, Harrisburg, on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas H. Rozman as celebrant. Burial will be in Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg, PA, Thursday at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Helen O. Krause Animal Foundation, Inc., P. O.
