Tuesday Morning, November 21, 1916 MAN INJURED FIRST OF MONTH SUCCUMBS Wallace Himes, of Mineral Point, Dies at Altoona Hospital Wallace Himes, aged 34, a Pennsy freight conductor on the Pittsburg division, residing at Mineral Point, died at the Altoona hospital last evening at 7 o'clock of injuries received in an accident that befell him near Mineral Point November 2, when he was thrown from a train by the sudden application of brakes. Himes, who was admitted to the institution shortly after the accident, had received fractures of both legs, deep lacerations of the chest, face and arms and since his admission grew steadily weaker. He was born in Somerville township, Cambria county, April 13, 1882, and wedded Miss Catherine Moose, of Mineral Point, a number of years ago. Surviving are the wife and six children: Mabel, Russell, Kenneth, Earl, Edna and Mary. Two children, John and Charles, died in infancy. He is also survived by one brother, William S., of South Fork, and one sister, Mrs. McConnell, of Somerville township. Himes was a member of the United Brethren church of South Fork, the Junior Order of Mechanics and of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. His body will be shipped to Mineral Point today, where funeral services will be held.
