MARY C. HITE OF LILLY EXPIRES Stricken While Preparing to Leave to Visit Her Daughter in Hospital Lilly, Sept. 30--Mrs. Mary Catherine (McAtainney) Hite, aged 56, died suddenly of a heart attack last evening while she was preparing to leave for Windber where a daughter, Miss Coletta Hite, is a patient in the hospital. The death of Mrs. Hite is the second in the family within a period of less than four months. Her husband, Fred Hite, passed away June 3. Mrs. Hite was a daughter of John and Rachael McAtamney, both deceased, and was born January 10, 1881 in Houtzdale. Mary Catherine McAtamney and Fred Hite were married here in 1901. Surviving are these children: Harry, Ellwood and Camillus, all of Pittsburgh; Bernadine, Colletta, James, Edith, Fred, Verna, Raymond, Evelyn, Louise and Leroy, all at home and Florence, a student nurse in St. Joseph's Hospital in Pittsburgh. Surviving also are seven grandchildren, two brothers and one sister, Harry McAtamney of Detroit, Mich., Frank McAtamney of Lilly and Mrs. John H. Harmon of Aliquippa. Mrs. Hite was a member of St. Brigid's Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 o'clock Monday morning. Interment will be in the church cemetery under the direction of A. F. Tickerhoof, local mortician.
