Friday, 20 May 1910 Volume 44, Number 20 Prominent Man Dead J. J. Hoblitzeil, a millionaire who died Tuesday at Myersdale, aged 78 years, was the father of Mrs. W. S. Ravenscroft of Ridgway, Mrs. Hugh Ross of Woodbine and five other surviving children in Meyersdale (sic). He founded the Savage Fire Brick Company, now owned by Johnstowners and opened the rich Jenner coal field to development. His holdings of oil lands in Illinois and in the South ran to thousands of acres. He was a member of Tancred Commandery, Pittsburg.
