JACOB HORNER

  Jacob Horner, a former resident of this city and later of Los Angeles, Cal., died at that place on 
February 7 after a protracted illness.  He was the son of John J. and Elizabeth Horner and was 
born November 20, 1829, near Mineral Point, Cambria county.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. 
Nancy Snowberger Horner, and five children, of whom are Mrs. E. M. Pennell, of Bedford, Pa., 
and David L., of this city.  For a few years following his marriage, he lived at New Enterprise, 
Bedford county, until 1898, when he removed to this city.  He left here in 1910 for Los Angeles.  
He was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
