Friday, 29 Sep 1905 Volume 39, Number 38 Death of Mrs. Morgan Hughes Mrs. Ann Maria Hughes of Ebensburg died at the home of her son-in- law, Millard Good, here on Friday morning, September 22, of old age and heart trouble. The deceased was born May 11th, 1821, and hence was past 84 years of age. The place of her birth was the (now) David Evans (Sawyer) farm in Cambria township. She was a daughter of William Mills and wife and was married three times. Her first husband was Alexander B. Cummins who went to Mexico as a soldier in the Cambria Guards and died there of wounds. Arthur Noble, her second husband, died about 50 years ago. Some time afterwards she was united in marriage with Morgan Hughes who at the age of between 87 and 88 years survives her. Their children are Martha, wife of Thomas James of Ebensburg; Sarah, wife of William Fagan of Butler; Annie, wife of John L. Jones of Johnstown; Almira, wife of Millard Good of Ebensburg. Besides these, one brother, John Mills, of Virginia and one sister, Mrs. John L. Stough of Ebensburg are living. Mrs. Hughes was for many years a member of the Ebensburg Christian church and was a good woman. The funeral was held from the church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, interment being made after services by the Rev. Oldham in Lloyd cemetery, where the remains were accompanied by a large number of friends.
