Friday, 7 Jun 1907 Volume 41, Number 23 Aged Ebensburger Dead Morgan Hughes Passed Away at the Age of Eighty-Nine Morgan Hughes, aged eighty-nine years, and one of the Ebensburg's best known citizens, died at his place of residence in West Ward, Tuesday evening, after an illness of about two months from diseases incident to old age. Mr. Hughes was a plasterer by trade and came to Ebensburg from Pittsburg about 1850. He was born in Wales in February, 1818. Mr. Hughes was married twice, his last wife having preceded him to the grave about five years. Since the death of his last wife, the deceased had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Millard Good, at whose home he died. Besides Mrs. Good, he is survived by the following children: Mrs. William Fagan of Butler; Mrs. John Jones of Johnstown and Mrs. Thomas James of Ebensburg. Mr. Hughes was a member of the Christian Church from which place his funeral took place yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock after which interment was made in Lloyd's cemetery.
