Friday, 2 Apr 1909 Volume 43, Number 14 David Humphreys Dead David Humphreys, a former Cambria County resident, died Sunday night at his home in Curtisville, Clarion County, aged 82 years, 11 months and 25 days. He was a native of Wales and was a son of John and Ellen Humphreys, who have been dead for many years. The Humphreys family located near Ebensburg in 1841 where David Humphreys remained until he was 20 years of age, when he located in Clarion County. Mr. Humphreys is survived by his wife and seven children. The surviving brothers and sisters are Edward J. Humphreys, court crier at Ebensburg; Richard J. Humphreys of the Twenty-first ward, Johnstown; Mrs. Ellen Owens of Ebensburg; and Mrs. David Howells of Kane, McKean County. Edward J. Humphreys and Mrs. Owens left Tuesday to attend the funeral which took place at Curtisville Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock.
