Born Mar. 3, 1870, in Johnstown, son of Martin and Mary (Morrison) Hynes. Last employed as a machinist for Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Company. Survived by widow, former Sarah A. Crossen; these children: Thomas, 635 Grove Avenue; John, 820 Ferndale Avenue; Richard, 411 South Street; Mary, wife of Lawrence Euen, 737 Sarah Place; Daniel, Akron, Ohio; Regis, 826 Chestnut Street; Mrs. Rita Kime, Hamburg; Elizabeth, wife of John Simsic, 392 Bedford Street, and Cornelius, rear 418 Chestnut Street; 19 grandchildren and great-grandchild; also a half- brother, Bernard Melvin, Vickroy Avenue, and two half-sisters --Mrs. Julia Harrington, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Margaret Bodner, Trenton, N.J. Preceded in death by sister, Mary Ellen (Hynes) Marshall. Funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John Gualbert's Catholic Church. Rev. Father Edward B. Daly. Interment Grandview Cemetery.
