John Illig 

John Illig, the oldest resident of this section, died at his home last Thursday morning of diseases 
incident to old age, aged 93 years.  Mr. Illig was born in Germany April 17, 1817.  He came to 
America at the age of 14 and had since then resided in this county.  He is survived by his wife and 
the following children: Paul and Simon of Cambria Township; Thomas of Carrolltown; Tillie, at home; 
Andrew, Francis and Augustine of Cambria Township.
